Glossary of Terms

The following is a list of some of the terms in use throughout the Web-PA system, with a description of exactly what they are.

General Terms

  • Forms: What students complete to perform the assessment.
  • Groups: The units of assembled students (i.e. the slices of cake). For more information, check the Introduction to Groups.
  • Collection: The combination of groups (i.e. the cake). For more information, check the Introduction to Groups.
  • Assessment: The organisation of the method of evaluation.

Assessment Terms

  • Pending: These assessments have been written and scheduled for some point in the future.
  • Open: Assessments that are currently available to students
  • Closed: Previously available assessments that will not accept further student submissions, but no results have yet been generated from the data.
  • Marked: Assessments where the deadline for student submissions has passed and the results from the data has been produced.
